Hi folks,
Many of you will be aware of the windblown tree damage that has occured at
CV over the last few days...unfortunately this means we have had to close
the trails due to health and safety issues - some of the trees are still
'floating' and could go at any time.
We are proposing to get as many people as we can to gather for a huge
trailbuilding effort this Saturday to help shift the trees from the actual
trails. If anyone is free, then please come along and lend a hand shifting
the fallen trees. We will have 1 person with a chainsaw so we will need a
few people to help shift the chainsawn wood off the trail, but we will also
have a few bowsaws and axes which can be used to help shift the trees as
well. If you are able to come along and lend a hand, please bring old
clothes, sturdy footwear and work gloves. Currently we know of approx. 4
dozen trees that need worked on to remove so we will be there for the
majority of the day - food and rink should also be brought along.
If you know anyone else who can lend a hand, then please let them know. The
Harvesting will be in shortly (expected today) and will be in for another 10
days or so, but we need to make sure the trails are clear of any debris so
that once The harvesting is done and Pipedream/Cannonball Run re-opens, the
rest of the trails can be used as well. At present the only trail that can
be ridden is the Funpark.
Thanks,
Richard.
