[Members] CVDG AGM 2007 - meeting minutes

Dear Members,

 

CVDG successfully hosted their 2007 Annual General Meeting on the 18th
September. The turnout was good (but the biscuits were better) and it was
encouraging to see some new faces in the crowd. 

 

This year saw the changing of the guard with Niall Thomson and Richard
Barton retiring from chair and vice-chair after three long years of service.
They’ve not disappeared completely as they remain on the committee but both
are looking forward to attending marriage counselling in their newly found
free time. 

 

Seriously though, the level of work that Niall and Richard have put in over
the last three years has been enormous, steering the good ship Carron Valley
through thick and thin with boundless energy and determination. I’m sure
everyone will join me in thanking them for their efforts on the project
during their time in office. 

 

With the tears and snotters wiped away with a terry-towelled glove, its time
to welcome in the new boys (and girl). It’s a tough act to follow but I’m
sure this new team will help propel CV to greater heights. More to follow on
this soon.
